So I made my first attempt at acrylics last night. I created a stand for my protein skimmer and it turned out great (looks were not important) , except......there is a decent amount of weldon #3 that ran down the sides of the stand, is this ok to put into my sump still ? Thanks

from what I've read of how solvents work... the solvent is actually melting your acrylic, and then the solvent itself evaporates and is no more. there is probably more complex science to whats going on, but I think the jist of it is that your drips are composed of basically the same thing as the rest of your acrylic sheets.

i think ryanbrucks is right. i think the solvent is a chemical mixed with dissolved acrylic... one it dries its 100% acrylic
