My 3 year old acrylic tank just started leaking somewhere. Is this fixable or will I have to junk it? If it's fixable...how?

The leak started last night for no reason at all. I think the volume is increasing and I suspect that this will not last until the end of the week. Luckily the leak is trickling into the sump.

sounds like something a lil weld-on couldnt fix. Might have to drain the tank dependong on where the leak is.

Yup, which begs another question....do I dump the sand and start new after...or the sand is still useable?

all depends on how long the sand has been in there. Man, do yourself a favor and go BB ;) Sorry I'm a BB guy. Ummm, if the sand is under a few years and still looks good, you could use some of it. I'd personally replace some and keep some so you could seed the new stuff.

Would it be possible to find the leak and put some plumbers putty over it and fix the leak from the outside?
