i did a cleaning in the tank the other day and noticed some small white specs on the glass afterwards. they seem like copepods.

good thing? bad thing? if bad, what to do about it?

thanks
Tom

just sit back and be happy that theyre populating. make sure to look at some pictures and stuff and make sure it is not a pest, but more than likely, these little creatures are extremely beneficial.

i have a refugium just crawling with pods of all kinds, and sometimes (every week or so), ill just clean off my refugium walls with a magnet and my return pump will pump live food to my fish!

good think.

lot's of fish eat copepods, certainly the mandrains, most gobies, some blennies, firefish, etc. etc.
