hmm, good question!are the nano tanks you will get going to be ready nanos or DIY jobs?if the are and you fancy abit of work i have always want to do a multi display setup.meaning 2 or more small tanks connected to a single filtration system(sump, fudge, skimmer) working in a cascading fashion.so you can have themed tanks (sps, softs, ric tank etc)linked together.the bonus of this would be an increased water volume and a truly amazing setup!!check this very very rought drawing of what i have in mind http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e316/mahalamata/tankidea.jpg

if you like the idea i can post more detailed sketches of such a setup!i know abit crazy but soooo cool in my eyes.
if all this is of no interest then i would say go for depth rather than hight,it gives a great sense of perspective depth!

i might just have to try that it looks so cool i would have one maybe12 gal for shrooms, zoas and my kenya tree then the other maybe 20 gal for acro and true reef builders and a 10 gal fuge im going to look into it thanks for the idea mahalamata will keep you posted

my idea was to have one display for low light coral hence the T5s and the other for light intense corals hence MH.the design incorporates an RO/DI container for top-off role.originally this would be gravity fed or if you like something more exotic.the container on the left can be used to drip Kalk or something else but another concept is to create a surge device made with a toilet flush and a small pump.i am drawing up a concept design for this and will post as soon as i'm done!the whole idea here is to get the most out of my nanos without braking the bank.i also believe that with a bit of imagination and a Aquatronica/Neptune or something similar this could become a fully automated system

and here is a concept design of how this could be implemented in a room.the :skin i guess could be wooden and made to look like a large piece of furniture.but in my mind it would look better as part of the wall.give it that in-wall design without the 500g tank LOL

tell me what you think and keep me updated if anyone decides to take it up!!
