OK, I have read alot of threads on here talking about water circulation and such. Most will talk about getting the right amount of flow with powerheads, others with a closed loop and some with a combination of both. I am planning a 75 build and my goal is to keep a mainly LPS and softies with a couple of SPS toward the top (the SPS being later on). So I am planning to get about 4,000-5,000 gallons of turnover per hour to satisfy the SPS. My question to you all is how would you achieve this kind of turnover rate? My LFS is a BIG Tunze advocate mainly because of their ability to produce masive turnover rates in random patterns using a single pump. I am not against that, however my wallet is!! So how would you do it? Closed loop, powerheads or both?

Powerheads.

I think technology has improved that there're much better options than closed loops.
