as the title says, I'm trying to talk my fiancee into making an in-wall setup. But hes having a hard time picturing it in his head. The tank is a 75 gallon, and we may want pictures of the back side, so we know how its put in there too... if possible.

ahh, I put tank and got nothing, aquarium-good search! but it only shows the front of the aquariums, and a lot of those stupid hanging ones, nothing of the construction of them, and just a bunch of fishtanks with trim...

Take a look at this page of my build thread. There are some pics towards the bottom of both sides of it.

oohh, I love that thread. I'll have to force my fiancee to look at the plumbing, and I'm in the process of explaining what a GCFI is (if I used the right letters-doh!)

I'm going to have to figure out the plumbing too, though, as its mostly my project. His is the wiring/removal of the hole in the wall/building a stand/bracing the floor, and mine is all the tank related extra stuff.. and I'm the one fronting the money for it all!

THANKS everyone so far, and.. don't be shy still. I've got nice golden color hardwood floors, we're going to be doing dark wood accents for pillars (we're knocking out load bearing walls, but leaving up pillars) so I'm taking ideas, and running.

Did any of you have issues with the water rotting into the woods or walls in the room that it is now in? I don't think its going to be much of an issue, but I want to be sure. My fiancee is saying that we'll just not care about that room and make it plastic walled

I was very "concerned" when I did my inwall 300gal., it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. 48 hrs from demo to finish of clean up.... It was at my buisness, so it had to be done in two days while we were closed. Looks great, 3 yrs no problems.
