cleaning/rebuild iwaki 40 pumps

hi all
i have two iwaki pumps that ran for three years straight without any problems and i want to clean them. i want to know if the housing that holds the motor winding's can be taken apart because i have alot of corroision at the rear and bottom of the pump housing(the green housing). i would like to blast and paint the housing and reassemble the motors and the rest of the pump.
any info would be appreciated.

I called Iwaki just yesterday with a question. I'm sure if you called them they would tell you. There number was:
