it was good to have some "home inspectors" Sunday.
i moved the frogspawn to a lower flow area, polyps are out farther already.

i heard people say how clean my fuge was, i am wondering...is that a good thing or is it not doing it job? Or is it just that its young, just 4 months?

i know it is a funky setup with fuge and sump, but sometime when i find a 55 i want to combine it as a "one unit". so if anyone has a junk 55 layin around.

Alan shoot me a pm about those ballasts, might get into an upgrade after xmas.

also going to move the softies to another tank.
i got a hex tank off my buddy, i will see how well that cleans up and maybe make a softie tank of it.

Nuthin wrong with a seperate sump and fuge. Mine is set up that way and it works great.

mine is a seperate sump and fuge as well.
As far as the cleanliness, its because your tank is young, and your minor lighting on the fuge. Once that fuge has been in service for a few more months it will be covered in coralline. PLus, your fuge lighting in sized just right, so you arent feeding the coralline, just the chaeto.

i am thinking of changing the lights to MH like a 70w range or bend up a new pendant for the 175 so it fits over that section of the fuge.

after some more thought i think a 2 tank setup is better, if i need to do something with the fuge, then i can still keep the sump online.
