My hairy mushroom, 6" more or lless, green base. flesh colored hairs, divided into 3, and they are slowly moving apart. One - in undesirable direction.

How can I remove it without damaging, if it possible at all?

I tried to remove it like anemone - gently prying off by fingernails, don't work. The tissue starts to tear, but the foot holds.

The rock can't be removed from the tank - it's a solid boulder, 20-2b Lb.

What are my options?
Thanks.

Slice it off with a new razor, get as much of it as you can and try to make one clean swipe. You will be suprised at how fast that shroom will heal up and attach to something, they are real tough.

Thanks! Will do. Now: how prevent regeneration from the tissue, left on the rock? Or cut back every time - I surely can do that.

hey just angle a power head at it where it gets mad an it will let go of the rock, an not leaqving part of the foot behind..

I have tried this and i have yet to have one let go, it just walks away from the flow. How much flow are you using scott?
