After almost six months, it finally happened. :)
My anemone went on the move about a week ago - settled into the corner of the tank. Then, my A. ocellaris discovered the anemone! She has become obsessed with her new friend... barely leaving the anemone even for food.
Luckily, she hasn't gotten so territorial that I can't target feed the anemone. I was worried about that, but it accepted some food today. The anemone does seem a little stressed during the past few days - it doesn't open fully like it was doing previously.
I'm pretty sure it's a macrodactyla doreensis. I've attached a couple of pictures that don't do the animal much justice. The flash from the camera pretty much washed out the green cast that the animal has... almost a striping in the middle and on the tentacles. Yes, the tentacle tips are a little lighter.
It's very exciting.
