My little xenia was fully entended and waving like crazy, and then i spilled some food(darnit, that new life spectrum is expensive). Well anywhat after about ten secods after turning the vacuum cleaner on, my xenia shriveled up but opened about 20 minutes after i turen my vacuum off. I attributed this behavior to the loud noise. Is it normal for corals to react to noise?

I doubt it's the vacuum noise..... maybe some electrical noise/interference
Was the vacuum plugged into the same circuit as the tank?

Maybe not noise but some vibrations from the vacuum.

If you have a digital multimeter, check for stray voltage in your tank. If you've got some, track it down and kill it.
