I don't know what it's call, but there is a clear tube that loops and connect two ends. When one of the end is near the surface and the output water flow contains full of tiny bubbles.

Question. Are the tiny bubbles from the powerhead good or bad? I can adjust it where my powerhead only pushes water.

I'm not sure but what you seem to be referring to is an overflow that takes water from your tank down to a sump. Is that right?

your powerhead is too close to the surface. lower it and no more bubbles. tiny bubbles can cause problem for corals and clams. usu ok with fish tho

I have a FOLR tank. Are there any benefits with the bubbles for my tank?

Bad in a reef tank. Good in a freshwater tank. Take the clear tube out. That is how I run mine.

EDIT: Bad for any saltwater tank, FOWLR or not.

Get rid of the venturi tube. No need for it in your situation.

Ok, I hear all of you. Just for my info. So the bubbles does not oxygenate the water?

yes it does but the fear is when bubbles get into the tissue of your livestocks and cause illness. that's what the trouble is. so people usu aerate the water in the sump or simply by protein skimmer

or ruffle the surface of the water with a powerhead. Ruffling the surface is the best for oxygenating the water!! That's why HOB filters and sumps are so good.

With a FOLR tank the bubbles will not hurt any thing, they may cause a little salt-creep but other than that there should not be any problem. And it will oxygenate the water.

doesn't bubble sometimes happen to find its way to get inside fish's eye or sth? i dunno

Think about the reef with every wave comes bubbles. I don't see how bubbles could hurt fish. JMO.

Yea like others have said its kinda a misconception that adding say a air stone with help with oxygenation. Really those bubbles making it to the surface and disturbing the surface of the water is what helps. So a power head that ruffles the surface of the water is much much better than say a airstone bubbling away in the tank.

So should I position the powerhead just at the water level, where it "disturb" the water? Or above the water level?

As to putting the powerhead below the water where it moves water, but not not "disturb" the water.
