Usually anwhere in the tank will work for them. They are very hearty and under the right contitions multiply rapidly. What kind of set-up are you running? Lights, filter ect.

As for my set-up, I'm running a Bio Cube 29. I'm not sure what type of lights I have, other than Coral Life. Outside of the heater, I'm just running what the tank came with.

My water parameter's are:

PH 8.2
Amonia 0
N02 0
N03 5-10
Salinity 1.023 / 31 gravity
Phosphate 0
Calcium 420
dKH 9
Water Temp varies between 78.6 & 79.9

I have my blue lights come on 1 hour before my white lights, and my blues go off 1 hour after my whites.

My whites are running for 12 hours per day.

You can place your colonies anywhere in your tank. Some do well slightly higher and so do well lower. I would make the moves early on and then leave them alone since persistent moving will only delay them settling in and growing for you.

Just saw this and was very curious. Does your salinity fluctuate between "Salinity 1.023 / 31" ?

Looks good. You prob have PC lighting. Look up "power compact". Try to get the nitrates lower in the tank. Are you running any filter media? Bio-Balls? How many fish do you have in the tank?
