Hi, I have a tomato clown, yellow tang and a pink golby in a 100 gallons tank. I want to add a few more, one is the Salfin tang. Do you think it is safe, to the tank, to the other tang?
Thanks, shin.

I wouldn't add the sailfin tang because it not only may fight with the yellow since they come from the same genus, but it will also outgrow your tank quickly. Sailfins get huge. You certainly have room for more fish, though. Look into wrasses or genicanthus angels for example. Also, your clown would be very happy to get a mate :).

Another Tomato clown! It;s been 5 years since I have him/her, how can I tell?

Well, all clowns start out with no gender at all. Then they turn into males if with a more dominant clown, and then if they are alone or dominant for a while, they turn into females.

So the clown you have is female. Get the smallest juvenile you can find and add it. If you need to, you may want to add it in one of those specimen containers first so the female can get used to it being there for a few days. 5 years is a long time to be alone, so you don't know how it will react to a potential mate just yet. The new clown should act submissively and might make twitching movements.

Agree w/ lukfox on clown and tang.
Other small tangs would be cool, although it would have been nice to add yellow last.
Maybe some chromis or cardinals.
Pink goby, a psheudo?
All three of those might not be too stoked w/ new fish, may need to rearange rockwork to fool them into thinking THEY are the new guy.

Yes, that pink goby grap everything I drop in the tank...
Be nice to have another Tomato clown, but how do I figure what I have is a he or she...

The one you have is a female as LukFox pointed out. All clowns will be female if unpaired. A male Tomato will not grow larger than 2", where as the female is 4" and 5x the size. Just add the smallest one you can find < 1.5" and they will pair up.

Thanks. Atthis point, do I need to add any anemone?

No, clowns do not need amenomes, and they don't have to be paired.
But, the bubble-tip is there natural anem of choice.

A dwarf angel would be nice. The sailfin is a bad idea.

I wouldn't worry to much. Get it eating a good diet and it should do fine. If it lives longer than a month you are in the clear.

Get a rabit fish foxface! Great fish, real community member and won't bother anyone who doesn't bother it. Plus your tank is perfect for it!

And my all time fav: Lawn Mower Blenny!

Sooner or later, I will have a tank full of fish :-).
