Ok I've got a chemical testing kit for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph.

What other testing supplies should I get? I am willing to pay out some moola if it will save me money down the road. I would rather not use chemicals or paper strips. Is there a device that can test everything?

you should also test for cal. alk. and mag. and get a refractometer for checking sg.

I recommend to get a salifert test kits. They are acurate and not too expensive. CA, KH/ALK, PH, MAGNESIUM, AMMONIA, NH2, NH3, PO4, SR, CU and IODINE I use mostly. Good luck.

I measure pH, temperature, salinity, and alkalinity fairly regularly. I test magnesium and calcium from time to time. Nitrate and phosphate test kits can be handy for troubleshooting stony coral problems. There's no device for testing everything.
