my tank is 2 1/2 months old, and i want to know if anyone knows if he has enough food in the tank via plankton and algae (i have some green algae).

:D At first, remove the dead fish from 30g tank :D

Is it pink and green filter feeder cucumber Pentacta anceps, or sand sifting pink belly and dark grey top?

If the filter feeder, you will need to feed it additionally, at least twice a day, more will be better. Something from rotifers and baby bribe to cyclop-eeze, frozen or dried. ZoPlan or Golden Pears for variery of the sizes will be good too, or Faun Marin food - anything you have access to. Add some water after washing frozen food for a fish, with smallest visible particles, after discarding the thawed liquid.

It will climb somewhere at the top to face the flow, it's normal.

After sensing food in the water will open to feed. Finger licking speed will be not less, than once in a few seconds.

When no more food - closes.

Small doses several times, when you can, will keep it open for a long time.

If the tank is young, you may dose some amino acids with vitamins, like ReefPlus or Coral Viral Reef DNA (or something like that), may help.

Love the creature! Lost mine in a tank crash (not related to a feeding), really miss it.
