hi, i have a reefdoser as my top off and its been running fine but i do need to replace the tubing for it and i just needed to ask if i need to buy the whole $20 worth of tubing with plastic endings and all or i can buy the tubing by itself and do the connections by myself.

i am talking about this product: http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem~idProduct~AQ4611.html

thanks,
Wojo.

Well I know Premium Aquatics sells that part as well.

I have the same unit and have it hooked to my kalk reactor to auto topoff. It works well, but I have found that I need to grease it every 2 - 3 months and after 6 -9 months, the pumping pressure drops WAAAAY down and the neoprene tube isn't stiff like it used to be. It is then time to change the part.

Personally I have just bought the replacement part rather than trying to DIY it. The main reason is that since that is the main pump for my auto-topoff/kalk reactor, any failure ===lots of water/mess on the floor.

thanks jimmy for your input, i just purchased a couple from PremiumAquatics, they were $5 cheaper than at MarineDepot.

and yes both of my tubings wore off after around 6 months of use :)
