I currently run (2) 250 watt MH 12k bulbs on my 75 gallon 4 foot tank. I am interested in adding T5 lights to the setup to give my sps corals a boost. I have been looking into a T5 TEK LIGHT Fluorescent Light - Retrofit Kit - 48" x 2. From the looks of this fixture it looks like it will support 2 bulbs. Also, from the website I am looking at, it looks like there are several types of bulbs to choose from. Can anyone help push me in the right direction on adding a T5 fixture? Will this retrofit kit with the 2 bulbs work? Will that be too much or too little in addition to my MH's? Thanks for any help.

2 is a good number. I prefer everthing in blue. maybe one blue one purple? The T-5s will help look more then anything.

Are you stuck on getting T5's? VHO's work well.

Not stuck on them, but from reading I am under the impression they are the 'newest and best.'

t5s draw less watts than VHOs i beleive .. lower power bill..
but a t5 is only as good as its reflector..

What would be the best 2 T5 bulbs to combine together?
