anyway the description

white circular body with many hairy legs on my glass. bodies alittle bigger than the point on a ball point pen.

are they bad or good?

sounds like a form of copopod(zooplankton)--if so they are good feed for the tank.

When the search is free search on the following and you will find your critters. "Dots with legs" sounds crazy but you will find them.

I believe they are a type of jelly (hydroid, medusae, something like that).
