Just noticed center brace on my 55 is broke and tank is bowed out 3/4-1". What are my options? If I can get a new one thru LFS how to go about repacing it? Thanks, Jeff

What I would do right now is get a brace clamp from the hardware store and attach it to the outside plastic eges of the tank to get the tank back into shape before the tank has to much stress on it and it breaks. It is glass right?

There have been people that get some thicj acrylics and make there own brace, But Im not sure I would trust that..

I have heard of replacing the brace with a clear acrylic. I was toying with the idea of cutting my brace since its right in the center and would block a halide bulb. The suggestions I got was either superglue or drilling holes in the brace and bolting the clear acrylic onto it.

Superglue wont hold the brace.
