cocoons in my fuge

My fuge is getting little cocoons growing on the glass. i'm assuming it is pod egg sacks, but not sure..

any ideas??

In this link is it the second one in the row? If so it is called a pineapple sponge and they are good for your tank.

it looks similar to that, but is held on by what appears to be to 'legs' or attachments.. then it has a frilly head, like on that, but it isn't fuzzy on it's body and is more brown.

Maybe they are dead ones. I know when I had a few die they turned color and got some algae on them. Look around that link though you might find something that matches better.

Since your tank if fairly new, I would bet it's the sponge in the picture that meco65 posted, it's a Scypha Sponge.
