I have a little piece of zoanthids-encrusted rubble, that my crabs keep knocking over. I moved it to somewhere stable, but the light was really low, and he was an unhappy little camper. I have one place where he can't get knocked over, but it's right next to an established montipora. Will one harm the other?

Thanks,
Dave

Both are hardy species and usually can grow besides each other without any relative harm. With many corals it's hit or miss whether or not one will over take the other or kill each other off.

Odds are in your favor here, so you may as well go for it.

I've got zoo's and monti's in my 75g and wouldn't place them next to one another. I've seen zoo's sting the crap out of my monti's before and won't risk it again.

just get some of that underwater epoxy and glue it down on a rock somewhere. crabs won't knock it over then.
