View Full Version : you think i should use my 5gal aquatech or get a 3gpicotope??????????????????????????

i have a 5g aquattech, (like a eclipse) , and i was wonderin if i should use that, or get a 3g picotope tank or deco tank

i want a small tank, and good light,

is the deco or pico , worth 40 bucks??
or should i stick w my 5gal ?

I think it would be of more help if we got some more info on the system.

I think if you were to really take a good look here though the pages of the nanoreef forums you will find a bunch of people with these tanks. And they look really good.

If i were you i would choose based on the amount of light produced, having known nothing on this 5g you talk about it would be helpful if you posted some stats on it..

well the 5g is an aquatech, same as esclipse. even has eclipse light

but i dont know how else to desribe it

its just a 5g basically eclipse, i dont know how to explain it

Yeah, I do wonder how he got all those posts in a year;) (We got it in the first post, or at least the first post in the next three you posted). Anyway.....

The more water volume the better. All you need to do, (you could do this for just over $40), is buy a better light. So, if you post the dimensions, I could help you find a better light. Then all you would need is a good filter (at this point just get rid of the hood) and a good heater, live rock, live sand, and a little time and you will be ready to start a reef :) And of course it is much more complicated than that, but it give you the idea.
