Hey there everyone, I am coming close to the 2 year mark for this little Nano species tank. I had originally gotten it to get back my little snowflake eel, that I traded in and realized I should get him back. I had more fish in here for a while, but I changed out the sponge filter's with some new ones that were recommended from Marine Depot, since sponges like the originals don't exist anywhere. They just didn't cut it and I had to make a modification on how to use them, since the tank was trashed after a week. I lost 3 of my fish, out of the 6 fish, which is totally my fault, since I should have been paying closer attention to what was happening in there with the new crappy sponges. Anyway, I still have 3 fish left and the Eel, which is probably better with a smaller bioload. It is just sad to lose fish that I had for over 2 years.

Everything is back to normal now though, and things are looking good after a bunch of water changes and adjusting the way I am using the new sponges.

I love all the mushrooms I think people overlook how good a display they can make.

Nice shrooms, looks like you may want to replace your bulbs, looks kind of dark in there.

Yep, I like shrooms in a tank with PC lighting, they don't grow to fast and seem to like PC lighting compared to MH. The bulbs are coming up on a change after the first of the year.

The pictures are darker because I change the shutter speed on the camera, to get some good clear shots. Otherwise they are to bright, so I increase the shutter speed by about 1.5 to 2 steps. After about 30-40 pictures, you keep the ones that look the best and this is what I get.

Thanks for the comments.

I love the clown! I have a maroon and snowflake eel in my tank as well. The snowflake seems to have gone on a hunger strike though, kind of worried about him. I think he wants fresher silversides! lol Mine are kind of freezer burned.

That is a neat little tank. I have a 24 gal cube also that has been up for 3 years, but it has been stripped of most of the coral and now basically serves as a home for a watchman goby/pistol pair and a bi-color blenny.

I only feed the tank meaty stuff every 3 days, where the Eel get's about 6-8 krill depending on how big they are. I feed a little flake every morning and the Eel is usually out and just bites at the flakes floating around.
