I've got a 220gal tank and am looking to get a steel tank stand for strength and room underneath. What do you suggest I get it coated with? Krylon/Rustoleum or some other stronger coating? If so, what do you guys suggest?

Thanks,
Doug

You could coat it with POR-15 its a ceramic based coating that when properly applied has the characteristics of powder coating. Do a search on the web for it and go to there home page. I used it on my 300 stand. I also use it when I put in a new patch panel on a car repair it has never failed me on a seam joint for rust throughs. Awesome stuff runs about 30 to 40 a quart.

Good luck

Mike

A number of poeple have used DIY truck bed liner "paint" and that seems like a good idea to me.

I vote for powder coating. Does a great job of sealing the stand.
