I have a 120 gal that is 24 inch deep. I was told that for mushrooms, bubble ane.. and most polyps, that 2 150w halides, and 2 pc lights would be enough. Is this true or do i need to go to 250w. No stony corals planned. thanks.

That sounds like it would be more than enough for what you want to keep

Those corals that you mentioned do not need high light. I would think that 150 would be ok. If the light was too intense for them, they wouldnt come out as much.

If you did go with 250 you can always keep the intensity down by running some 14k or 20k bulbs. Then when you decide (and most likely you will) to try some stony corals just switch to some 10ks and you are set.
