Big headed zoas turn small headed why?And how to unbleach zoas

Well I started with a small frag and the heads were big but after a couple of monthes they are small. What is the cause of this and what can I do to bring them back to where they were big?

I have another frag that lost its color, is there a solution to bringing back the colors?

the zoas are in a 50gallon 2x24 atiblue and a 250w metal halide.

I did not know zoas will lose their color.

My palys bleached to opaque, after placing them under my T5s. Took about 3-4 months to color up again.

I think it depends on the zoa as well, I have two sets that I moved under my T5s and they both bleached. This was two months ago. One had a sort of black skirt with a pink and purple center. The black skirt is an ugly brown now, but the pink and purple has come back finally and looks great. My tubs blues are now tubs beige and continue to be dull.

I'm experiencing something like that. I got a frag that was under halides than put them in my tank which had pcs and than swithced to t5s and they bleached and turned small. Now I threw in a friends tank with a metal halide and they look the same. I have 2 same kind of zoas but one set has smaller heads as well while the other one has a big head.

I just noticed last night that one of my tubs beige now has a tiny tint of blue so maybe it's finally coming back.
