When and how long do you run the light for the refugium?

I run mine in reverse of my display tank. There is a period in the morning 8-11 where nothing is on

No , let me restate. My PC's run from 11:00 AM till 2:15 PM. Halides fire up at 2:15 until 9:15 PM. Fuge light turn on at 9:00 PM and go off at 8:00 AM.
No rhyme or reason to this schedule mostly I didn't feel like screwing with the timer I had :)

Landlord, What wattage. My refugium will be a HOB due to limited space.

Not much at all check out lifereef's website. It is the smallest size fuge 12' wide. The lights sit on top in a prefabbed little light canopy that he sells. The wattage aint much.

I use a 25 watt energy saver bulb--from Home depot.
It is on 24/7 to promote extra growth of the chaeto. Chaeto will not go sexual like caulerpa algae so there is no risk in doing this.
