Red light on X-10 Control Interface

I have two DC8's Daisy chained. I am trying to get my X-10 appliance modules to function properly with Both DC8's. If I hook up the Control Interface directly to the first DC8 and take the second DC8 off line everything works great. If I however Daisy chain two DC8's and then the Control Interface the Led on the Control Interface does not illuminate and the X10 appliance modules do not function. What could be wrong.

It sounds like you have the incorrect type of telephone cord connecting to the control interface. It should have 4 internal wires, and the internal connections are reversed on each RJ11 connector.
