I have been doing a significant amount of reading about different lighting and whats the right choice for me... I want to be able to run hardy sps and softies.. I dont want to be limited to what i can run... I know the right choice for heat issues and all around best perfomance would be t5 staggered in a canopy with individual reflectors (retro fit kit from icecap). I didnt know if anyone had good experience with other options for lights for my tank... I would love to get a fixture for this setup... But i know 30 inch is a real pain. Thanks

Take a look at aquatraders.com . I was looking into a Current Sundial HQI for a long time, but Aquatraders has something very similar for half the price.

Are their products good? That 30" MH, CF fixture is a crazy price. hmm... I have been researching for my 20L for quite a long time, and I was considering a 100w MH 14k with 2x24 T5 actinics, but that light is cheap. Any personal experiences with aquatraders?

I've dealt with them. I have 2 or 3 sets of their PC lights and love them. Also there is a thread on their metal halides, apparently they weren't so good but they have come out with a new version that most people seem to enjoy. The stuff is cheap and when it comes to the lights at least it works well.

I am using the Current sun pod over my 29g. It is 250 watt DE MH. Was difficult finding a 30" fixture. Over all I am happy with it, and if I had to do it again, I would still buy it. The light coverage is pretty good considering I am using the supplied legs and not hanging it.

Here is an older pic,

An even older picture, but shows the fixture better.

No experiences with Aquatraders, but Toygrr has a 250w MH combo.

Anyone have the link to the Aquatrader light thread?

aquatraders is garenteed to set your house on fire. but if your tight on money then i guess you have no option my friend had a light from them and it caught on fire and burn up his room pretty good it ended out his tank was made of acylic and the tank put out its own fire by melting and killing everything in the tank it was a mess.
