I keep hearing that breeding clownfish is difficult and that it's almost a full time job. What makes breeding difficult?

The breeding is easy; its hatching, catching, feeding(rotifer cultures), waterchanges, feeding, culling, waterchanges, feeding, ....<insert "rinse and repeat" here> that is the difficulty.

I just missed a hatch last night, timed it wrong

I see. You've emphasized 'feeding' several times. How often do you feed? Also, what do you mean by 'timing the hatch?'

Eggs hatch after lights out, in my case, that is very late/early morning.
Feeding every few hours or so.
