What are the specs on your system?

Find a few tanks around here that you like and maybe start from there.

my 5.5 gallon is mainy softies just because i think they are the most hardy out of all the corals and small tanks are a little harder to keep stable if he does plane on getting corals i would let the tank mature a little more then usual just because the way i see it the more stable the system is the beter things will do but it all depends on what kind of light it is, is it pc?or florecent tube of t-5's but you can usually get away with mushrooms and zoo's with that kind of lighting you can even put xeina in there if you wanted or kenya trees basicaly any softie that dosent require high amounts of light. im running 20 watt pc in my 5.5 gallon and i have mushrooms and zoo's and they couldent be happier.

no, but i want to buy it because its cheap because im low on money ,and will do fine for the soft corals im going to do,

xenia,zoos, would be fine

that light would probably be ok for mushrooms and zoo's but i dont think anything else and even shrooms and zoo's would be pushing it i think im not completly sure cause i dont know to much about that bulb but a good alternative would be a coralsun 50/50 bulb

is it a good one, if so , ill go out and get that one

well i would only recomend it because i used it and its pretty bright for a florecent i'v never used the other one so i wouldnt know what to say but ether way there so cheap you can try them both if you wanted but i think the coralsun might be better if your doing corals in the long run. but personaly shrooms and zoo's are pretty hardy so they should do well as long as you have a light bulb above them haha.

hmm. Don't have experience with that one. I will say that I have a Green Clown Goby (basically a Yellow Clown Goby but prettier) and it seems to love it in there. I have a Coralife light, can't remember exactly what it is, I'll look it up. Works great on my Zoas...

Here's the link to what I have over my 5.5g.

Coralife 20W (http://www.aquariumguys.com/minicompact3.html)

I'd put a bit more over it as well, if you can.

If you want a goby/pistol shrimp pair, try bluezooaquatics.com .

They even have a category called "Best fish for pistol shrimp".
