I've got a red sea max and i'm about to buy a Koralia pump. What do you recommend? going with the Koralia 1 or the Koralia 2? i plan on keeping corals and fish if that makes any difference
thanks!

Koralia 1 is enough IMHO.

well it depends. imo it all goes with the coral u want to keep.. if SPS u need to atleast turn the water over 50% even with a sand bed. if your goign with softies then yes the #1 is more than enough if u later down the line plan on upgrading ur lighting for SPS id go with a #2 and ull be ready for when that time comes.

and in no way take my advice completely as i dont have a red sea max im just speaking from reading knowledge :p

The RSM stock lights are not intense enough for SPS's.

what are stock lights? PC's? or T5's?

I've heard they are PC's that are pretending to be T5's... but I'm pretty unfounded in that statement..........

I've got several montipora, stylophora and an acropora millepora that do very well in my stock lit RSM. All of them are mounted in the top half.

I'll see if I can put together some growth shots at some point and post them.

I've got a couple other acros in there that I'm less than pleased with.. they seem to be more along the lines of just surviving and I'll likely move at least one of them out soon.

Oh, and I use a Koralia 2... the one is really not that powerful IMHO.
