I chkd on it just a little while ago and it was drooped over showing its foot and I saw what looked like part of it was rotting so my husband went to take it out and all the dark stuff that I thought was part of the rotting anenome was some type of slime. Can it be saved or is it dieing?

Is this tank only 1 month old?
How long have you had this anenome?
Do you know your water readings?
Also more info would help from lights to substrate to amount of LR and size of tank.
You should add as much tank info in your profile to help limit the replys. Like tank size , whats used for flow , lights, ect..

The 75 gal tank with at least 80 lbs of live rock.Has been set up for over five years, was at my husbands office and recently brought home. I have had the anenome for about three weeks. The water eadings were good but the nitrates were a little high. Just recently did a 25% water change over the weekend. The lighting is 210 watt vho, one actinic and one 10,000 k. I tank is more than a mo old but I am fairly new to the game. Sorry for the confusion.

So you transfered the tank from there to where it is now?
Did you use water from old tank?
Or is this a new setup?

Yes, the tank is now in my livingroom and I used the water that was in the old tank.

If you used the same lights and your water readings are all fine then sounds like he is stressed or maybe just releasing waste. They will shrink and eject waste from its mouth. If he isnt happy he will move around alot and eject waste more then normal.
Assuming there is no other change like Substrate , LR , Lights, and he is being fead then he may just need to adjust to new inviroment. But look here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_anemone_diseases

What type of Anemone do you have? 210 watts of vho over a 75G is a very low light tank, and not nearly enough light for most anemones to survive.

Yea, the nem is new and the lights are not that great!
I have a BTA under T5 PC and I am having a hard time getting him up and healthy, he was whiter then snow...
But he is great now, I was suprised though, I have a RSm and he went THROUGHT my overflow.
I came home and he was in my overflow compartment, BEHIND the gate!
he's still kicking, some scaring but he is full of life and loves my clowns!
