Also, I am thinking of getting the Eheim return pump. For a 58rr Tank with a 20L sump, should I go with the eheim 1260 return pump or the 1262 return pump?

Thanks

I think an Eheim 1260 or 1262 would be a little big for that size tank and sump. I would aim for around 250-300gph return to the tank. I think the ER RS-100 would be a better skimmer for the tank, simply because I have never been a huge fan of ASM.

I vote for EuroReef RS100

I would get the Euro reef and look at a smaller return pump.

I purchased a RS-100 and like it so far. It's taken about a good month for the skimmer to break in to really start producing skimate. In fact, it seems that it began working about the same time I noticed the dreaded brown algae that is normal with new tanks. If you get the Euro-reef RS-100, make sure your water level is between 6-8" as described in the owners manual...if you put it in a sump.

My friend. I'm thinking seriously about returning the RS-100. I cannot get the unit to operate properly. I thought I had it dialed in, but then it flooded.

I have never had any problems with my Bermuda 3C skimmer. Ive had it for 2 and a half months now. I havent tinkered with it since day one. I empty a nice dark and smelly collection cup usually every 10-14 days. I love it.

Now someone recommend me a Bermuda Aquatics BPS-3C. Anyone using this? Compare to the EuroReef RS100

I was pretty PO'd for a bit about my RS-100, but now I got it figured out. My biggest problem was with evaporation not allowing the skimmer to remain at a consistent operating level. Once I go an automatic top-off system, the skimmer is working pretty darned well.
