I work in constuction and can get some limerock for my tank. Can it be used, or will something in the rock har my tank?

I wouldn't really recommend it. It's probably pretty dense and might not be suitable for biological filtration. I'm unsure as to what it might/might not leech into the tank, too.

fwiw, I have loads of limestone in my tanks, it's actual coral bedrock from florida to the best of my knowledge and I took the chance in using it. I'm happy with the results but as mentioned earlier, it's severely dense, nothing that would work for filtration purposes, it's stricktly "base rock" in my tank and there really is no telling what could leech off the rock in a few years down the road. Their are several other local reefers here who have used the same and I have yet to hear any "bad news" about it, but it's still risky.
