Hi Roger,

Are the impellers in the 6100's included in the warranty? If yes how do I go about getting a replacement. If not, well I guess the same question applies. :)

Thanks in advance,

Todd

I took it apart for maintenance after one of the transformers started yelling at me. The 4 of them, 3-6100's and 1-6101, are about 6 months old. Not sure what the proper term for it is called but the piece in the picture looks like it has several tabs and only 1 is left on it. Or perhaps more of it is broken. Not really sure as I have never had to give a thorough exam of the impellers, at least not the last time I cleaned them.

The other 3 do not look the same as this one, and do not just fall off of the impeller like this one does.

I don't have the best camera in the world but here are 3 pictures, I can try to get better ones if needed.

Soak it in vinegar and pry the upper bearing off the bottom of the magnet. The first part you are holding is an oring, it should be red. The magnet is dragging the bearing not spinning on it. They are calcium coated but otherwise fine.

It is not the O-ring, I know what that is and have included in the photo for reference. If that is in fact a bearing then as you can see in the new photo the bearing is broken.

You just need a bearing, it looks like calcium cemented them on to the drive unit, that is not usually something covered under warranty as it just comes down to maintenance but if you PM me your info I will mail you one.
