Anyone know where you can buy online 6-12" diameter tubing, preferable NOT acrylic or polycarbonate? I've tried everyone and most only have acrylic (usplastics etc.) and it needs to be 6' lengths.

Didn't realize you didn't want acrylic...what's the reason? Clear PVC can be purchased by the foot on mcmaster.com I believe, but it is very expensive, more than even cast acrylic from what I can see.

Yeah I'm looking for something cheaper than acrylic. MAny manufactured skimmers are made out of a different material, I believe it's ABS. Your right about PVC it's usually quite a bit more than acrylic.

Have you tried these guys?

they seem to have quite a selection of materials to choose from.

Not many other choices besides the acrylic tubing. What size are you looking for? It's actually quite inexpensive even compared to that size PVC. 8" diameter goes for 20 bucks a foot. You could do a whole 8"x18" body skimmer and collection cup for 40 dollars. Can't beat that.

There are actually a ton of choices, but you have to find them. Look at the material that a CPR S4 is made of. Not acrylic...
