Has anyone used "mighty putty'. It is, I think, an expoxy based product that at first glance looks like it would good to attached things in the tank such as corals, etc. I have not been able to clearly determine what is in the produce and don't know if it has been clearly determined to be "safe." It does appear to be used to provide a quick fix to leaks and other water related things.

I don't personally know that product or if it's safe. If you do not know, I would not use it at all for an aquarium. They make putties specifically for aquarium usage, such as marinelands "holdfast" and several others as well. Used those, didn't care for them, found another method for attachement/aquascaping. But many people do like em, it was personal preferences only in this case.

for attaching corals though, i find super glue to be the best. Since i don't use the putty or epoxies for that, i just use ALOT of super glue gel for one stoney frag. For non stoney frags (unmounted that is), don't need any type of epoxy or glue,

sorry couldn't help more.
