i just received my end of a trade (need to ship my lights out after i get things straight with the halides.
the title says it all. the halides came from an outer orbit. was wondering if i can still run these safely, without the aluminum housing? i can take pics.
plan on using the stock ballast and reflectors and uv glass.
and i am puting them in a wood box which will hang over my 55 gallon reef.
is this safe?
