Im looking at getting some more live rock. probably about 20lbs to add to my 30 gal which already has about 25lbs in it. What i want to do is cure it in a separate tank for however long it takes because i already have live stock in my tank. My question is, i have this bottle of purple up sitting around because i dont want to put it in my DT, can i use it to spur coralline on the curing rock?

IMO you could, but why dirty your water up even more?

well i mean in the tank that the rock is curing in, not after i put it in the DT. I figure the water doesnt really matter in there as much, right? I mean i know it does to a certain extent, but if the PH goes up a lil because of that itll be fine. or so i understand.

you could add it to the tank the rock is curing in, but you havent mention if theres light over the tank its curing in, no light= little or no corriline, IMO doing water changes should be enough to keep the corriline gioing

ahh, i didnt think of that. Yea i cant be buying a light for that, i guess ill just cure it and then put it in and let nature take its course. I guess ill just 86 that purple up. Ive read too much bad about it. Mostly how it adjusts your ph.
