Remove the infected rock and dip and remove all unwanted critters with a clean wire brush. Works every time.

You could inject with lime jiuce or even hot water right down there pie hole with great luck.

Hot water is a hit or miss. I would try the lime juice or kalkwasser.

is that actual lime juice?
and i just hit them with joes juice which i believe is kalkwasser
what i wanted to know is the juice harmfull to zoos and corals
i was carefull but it is in the water column
do i need to do a water change? etc
thx

They should be fine unless you got juice directly over them. Just keep powerheads going and you shouldn't have any problems.

BTW, next time turn off all powerheads, skimmers, etc.. While your using juice.

whatever you do
recom you make sure you know what you are doing!

check out the following link
to get a better understanding of what you are dealing with... and for others not already familiar... one good reason to QT everything before adding to system...

this link starts on page 3 of the thread
but look on pg 2 for more pics... here on pg 3 jetcat a veteran reefer mentions having to tear down his system - majanos took over! others mention the same thing (good pics! )

http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1202166&perpage=25&pagenumber=3

i used a hammer and chisel to pry a couple off
then a couple mos later what we thought was a new growth of zoanthids somewhat hidden under edge of LR - ended up being a group of majanos growing right next to some zoanthids

ended up taking out 40# of LR
bleaching it and thru out any and all corals that were even w/n close proximity (was nothing else to do w/ them as would not have been 'fair' to sell them etc)... having over 200# of LR was not going to risk having this pest spread like it did in some of the pics in the above link...

iow
before you go haphazardly dealing w/ these pests be sure you know what it is you're dealing w/ and the true threat that exists in your tank w/ these guys - i wouldnt take having them in your tank very lightly unless you dont mind tearing down your entire system someday!
