Well my buddy was moving so i begged him to let me take his 55 gal (he also has a 90) and he finally he said that i could take it! So now i just need to take a shot down to the LFS for some LS, LR and a decent skimmer..

Congratulations!
I also have a 54g. If you want any specific suggestions on equipment, take a look at my equipment list: I'm pretty happy with it. Lights, however---you're going to need more, being a stretch [mine is a wedge bow]. My bulb of choice is the Ushio 10k...not what I have now. And I'd recommend a mag 9.5 or similar return pump, maybe up to a 12 if you can throttle it down a bit. The Iwaki is because my sump is downstairs and my tank isn't.

Great find. Suggestion, trim out those doors, put knobs on em' and restain that bad boy. I have a similar looking tank that I picked up for cheap and put 100 bucks into it and now it looks like a show tank. Check out the transformation, it's real easy to do..............
