Will there be any future models being produced? I see that a hang on model seems to be in the works. If so please provide some information such as "tank size", range of costs and possible release dates. Thank you.

Hi
The ATB hang on will have a air intake of 400L/hr will be rated for a 120 gallon tank. It will be a hang on with a cone shape column on the inside with a bubble plate diffuser. We are planning to have test units in 3 to 4 weeks. If the feedback is good then they will go into production. We are hoping to be in the 400 to 500 dollar range. ATB is always looking to develop new products that will satisfy reef enthusiasts. So if anybody has a comment to improve or develop a product please shoot us a email
Thanks

Perhaps a 4000+lph XXL cone as well for the more commercial / mega systems as well. It might be a 'special order' only thing though... pretty large.

Victor, perhaps this would be a good time to tell them about the air readings you are getting with the 1500 and 2000 based Airstar pumps...
2250lph is what the Laguna 1500 is getting, and 2600 is what the 2000 is getting!!! These numbers are above what Anton said... perhaps making these all pinwheel would make sense then.

I tested the pumps again and came up with these results
airstar 1500 with meshwheel is 2250L/hr of air
airstar 1500 with needlewheel is 1500L/hr of air
airstar 2000 with meshwheel is 2700L/hr of air

will the airstar pumps be sold to be used on things besides skimmers, e.g return pumps, internal loops, etc...

At this time no because they are not really designed to be return pumps.
