Like the title states I'll be looking for SPS frags packs for stocking my AP12 HQI but it will be after New Years before I order.

I used to do a lot more trading but with gas @$3.00/g it's just cheaper to buy online and save the 1.5hr drive to my LFS.

Anyhow I've narrowed it down to Reefer Madness and Dr. Mac's Aquaculture East.

any Nano-reefers have experience with these vendors or have others to throw in ???

Thanks in Advance,
Clint

I got the 6 Acro and 6hard corals pack from Pacific East Aquaculture. I was very happy. Everything was packed well, good variety, one of the best 100 bucks I have spent in this hobby

With such a small tank to fill I would get some primo pieces.

I would contact both companies and see if they will make you a frag pack and send you pictures beforehand. My worry would be getting corals that are all the same color or "dull" in color.

The RC selling forum is another good place to look for frag packs. Travis (That's his RC username) has some very nice fragpacks from time to time.

Any pics?

I've asked about a pack with a little of everything....lol

6 Acro
3 zoa
3 LPS

I hope they can do it for me.

But no local reef clubs and the very nearest LFS is 106 miles ONE Way-that's exactly 4 gallons of gas one way $24/round trip add the LFS prices-(though they are pretty competitive usually @$25 per SPS frag). All this with the chance of them not having anything interesting/wasting a trip . And that doesn't even begin on the $$$ my wife will spend while I hunt the LFS.....lol.

Dr Macs (pacific East aquaculture) is the only place I will buy SPS online. i bought the 12 for 99 pack and the acros I got were huge multibranch frags. Actually, they were more like colonies. Plus, it you call them, they will split up the 12 however you want it split up. Furthermore, they have awesome customer service.
they call you the day after you shipment arrives to make sure it arrived well.

here are some of the frags I got back in October. these pictures were taken shortly after I got them.

Those were sent as FRAGS?? I mean they aren't the most colorful but come on those things a freakin HUGE!

I did order from Reefer Madness back in the day when they had the 9 for $99 and I got a couple of larger multi branch frags but nothing like that.

Look like I'll be calling Dr. Mac after the New Year.

Thanks for the pics

no problem. i couldn't believe the size of them when I got them. They have all colored up a lot since then and grown like crazy, but those pics are from about a week after I got them, once they were light acclimated and put in place.
