After recieving the first nano broken from shipping, I am going to get a 24 gallon Aquapod with the 70 HQI.
I plan on setting up a reef, but nothing to exotic at least for the first year or two. I would like to be able to keep a few corals and a fish or two.
What mods have you found are necessary for the 24 to be a decent reef tank?

upgrade the return pump, add a second pump on the false wall in the second chamber. get a tunze powerhead.

Any suggestions as to what to upgrade to for the return, what to install for the second pump, and whether to place the return up high, or down lower?

Is money no object?

I wish money was no object, but it is.....
I want to know about the more expensive items, and budget for them to be purchased over time. Unfortunately, I can't buy them all from the start.
I am wanting to get things like drilling the extra return, plumbing, and more difficult to do things out of the way before water is added.

I don't have any plans at this time to keep SPS. I would like a clam, other then that I am undecided.
Thanks for the recommendation on the skimmer, I have been wondering what would work well.

I would at least go with the 150 watt. Thats what I have and It is just the right amount of light IMO.

Just found out I will be getting the 150w. Very excited.
Now I better start budgeting for upgraded return, and skimmer.
Drilling a second return line was mentioned here. Is that preferred over a koralis, or some other type of powerhead in the tank? I am getting a little nervous about drilling a hole...
