in the process of acclimating now, 2 of three 2" clams are still connected, any solutions other than cutting the thread?

no, but it wont hurt the clam if you cut it as close to the other clams shell. just to be sure that is as far away from the clam who's foot is stuck on the other clams shell.

usually they are shipped with a small rock or similar for the clams to attach to.
