I seem to have a problem keeping hermit crabs alive in the tank..The water was tested and found to be fine.. Have not lost any fish... The crabs seem to last about a week.. can anyone give me an idea of what would cause this...

i've heard low salinity could kill snails and crabs. On here they've stated that 1.022 is fine for fish but invert's like it around 1.025 to 1.026.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

first welcome to Reefcentral.
now, are they dying or being eaten? Has the tank been up for a bit? Could be a nasty hitchhiker. Has the tank ever been setup for FW? A copper based medication having been used in the tank would kill off hermits. Do you have snails in there also? If so are they dying as well?
Oh and your not adding any petstore water when you add your fish are you? I know a lot of shops that run copper in there fish only tanks.
