Ok I was wondering, since I live right next to a lake there are these rocks that look alot like Fiji lr. Can this be used to grow lr? I plan on starting a 15 gal. tank and would like to grow some for there as well as trying to grow some to try to sell to the lfs. oh and how should I clean them?

Well............That's the reason for cleaning them. I thought maybe I could bleach them.

first off don't ever use bleach on anything marine it's not water soluable so it will never leave the water.. second use dry base rock, you never know what is in or hiding in the roock.
also your not going to make money off selling to the lfs they only pay 1.25-1.50 a lb for the basic rock. you would spend that per pound with water changes and power, unless you were brewing a 5,000 gal tank or something
