Im thinking of setting up a chiller (maybe 1/20 or 1/15) in anticipation for the summer heat waves. Who has this type of nano with a chiller? Can you show me pic of your outlet and return hoses? What type of return pump would be suitable to run with these chillers given the limited space i have in the back chambers? I was thinking of a minijet 606 but i dont know if it would push enough water through the chiller.

I'll be mounting an IceProbe through the side glass of a NC6. It will be a quarantine tank when I finish drilling my main display and then transfer everything out of the NC6.

I have thought about the iceprobe but the inside house temps can get into the high 90's even 100's in the summer with all the windows closed. The iceprobe will only lower the temps maybe 5 to 8 degrees.

 dude, that's crazy. If you don't mind me asking, what is an ice probe? Is it just another chiller?

I guess i have been overthinking the return lines abit. I went to my LFS today and i found a product mabe by JBJ for the return lines. I forgot the size of the hoses but it uses 2 u shaped rigid lines that hang into the tank. I just have to figure out where i need to trim the hood.

how high up will the tank be from the chiller?

from the chiller fittings, it would have to go up 3'.

I thind either the 1/20hp or the 1/15hp will work for you. I had my 10 gallon hooked up to my JBJ 1/15 for two months last summer. Even though I had a tight lid over pc's, two powerheads, a submersed return pump, and a pump for the chiller loop the chiller never ran for more than 2-3 minutes at a time.

Don't forget you'll need a chiller loop pump. I used the Eheim 1048.
